We were so lucky to have Grandma Shelly come visit us this month!
We did lots of fun things and here are a few highlights from her trip:
 |
| We walked around a Riparian Reserve. None of us knew what in the world "riparian" meant so we looked it up: the interface between land and a river or stream. Well, just so happens there is a body of water-so there you go! T man loves his bike-he rides it almost everyday now that it is "cooling" down. Only 95 instead of 105. | | | | |

If you don't know already, my favorite time of the year is fall. One can never get too much caramel during this
season. We whipped up some homemade caramel apples (a process that takes 2-3 hours) using the infamous
recipe my mom always used--that she got from her mom. Caramel making is tedious and you never know
the absolute moment it is done. SOOO glad mom was there to guide us along.
I remember trying to make caramel apples my freshman year at BYU.
Didn't really know what I was doing. The caramel got cooked in the pan.
Pretty sure I just chucked the pan because it was impossible to clean. You live. You learn. |
 |
And here is the finished product!! I know, you are probably drooling right now.
Well...you should be because they were a-mazing. Maybe you should come visit us.
We might even make some for you. |
True Food again. Yes, again. Scottsdale is such a fun place.
Any excuse we have to go there we do it.
Thanks for coming to visit, mom! We loved having you here.
