Winterhaven 2012
Here in Tucson there is an entire neighborhood called Winterhaven
(it's even written on the street signs--a historic area)
and for a few nights in December the neighborhood is blocked
off from cars so people can walk around and enjoy the Christmas lights.
The first picture is of "snow" aka a bubble machine that appeared to look like
snow. This was the biggest hit with the kids. We went with a couple other families
in the ward and had a fun time. This was the only night we have worn coats in AZ.
And actually, it was a bit chilly-I should have worn a warmer coat.
At Winterhaven you can experience:
*Decked out houses with Christmas lights and blow-up figures
(seriously--who invented those eye sores??)
*Santa & Mrs Claus. Talmage was terrified of Santa this year every time he saw him
*Food trucks with hot chocolate, popcorn, and other goodies
*You can take a hay ride pulled by horses (we just walked)
Come visit us next December and we'll take you to Winterhaven!
