For New Year's Eve we took the kids and Morgan down to Temple Square to see the lights since we hadn't been yet. Always a favorite place to visit, especially at Christmastime. It was a bit chilly for us people who rarely see temperatures below freezing, but we survived and had a fun time. Afton was bundled up warm wearing the Bjorn under Scott's coat. It seemed like every person who walked by commented on her little head and feet poking out if his coat. At least we gave people a good laugh. We went inside the Tabernacle for a few minutes to warm up and listened to some amazing soprano soloists sing Broadway tunes.
After the kids went to bed, the adults (including mom & dad) played a game and then toasted the new year with Martinelli's in Dixie cups. Morgan forbade me to not take a picture. It was a low-key fun night and we were sad to see Morgan fly back to Miami before the clock struck 12.
Can't wait to see what 2014 brings Team Calder!
